I navigate all my business travel through my iPhone – until I mistakenly left it in my car. Chaos loomed. But I prevailed, forced to use old-fashioned methods.
I use apps to buy airline tickets, check in and board, compare Turo with RentalCars, Lyft with Uber, navigate with Waze and Maps, enter my rental with Airbnb, consult TripAdvisor for restaurants. I keep track of all my travel reservations on Tripit.
This time I used paper tickets, took taxis and called Uber through a friendly hotel clerk’s account. I made it through the trip but gleefully reunited with my digital assistant.
