Louisiana produces the most oysters in the U.S. The combination of fresh water from the Mississippi River, the salinity of the Gulf and the perfect temperature of the shallow brackish waters make the perfect home for them to flourish.

The Jefferson Parish CVB and the Louisiana Tourism Recovery Program created the Louisiana Oyster Trail to highlight the restaurants that serve the beloved bivalves.

One stop along the 20-member Oyster Trail is Restaurant des Familles in Crown Point, close to New Orleans. Enjoy tasty Cajun and Creole dishes, including delicious oysters, with a view of the Bayou des Familles.
