Have a Drink at the World’s Highest Rooftop Bar

by Jan Schroder

As a rooftop bar aficionado, I had my ultimate experience at Sky Bar, located 820 feet in the air on the 63rd floor of Lebua in Bangkok, Thailand.

The circular bar seems to hang on the edge of the roof with panoramic views of Bangkok and the Chao Phraya River. Several bartenders performed well-rehearsed choreography to create cocktails inspired by the solar system.

As the sun set over the city, the bar began to glow, the patio lights came on and the towering gold dome lit up as well, casting an enchanting light on the world’s most visited city.
