This year the 12-day arts and culture festival known as Foo Foo Fest includes Fire and Rain, holographic strands of lights rippling over historic Intendencia Street like a sky of diamonds. The abstract sculpture rises and falls with the breeze.

The annual festival in Pensacola, Florida, includes appearances by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, pianist Garrick Ohlsson and a performance of the play “The Savannah Sipping Society.” StompFest 2019 is Nov. 2, with African-American music, art, dancing, comedy and stepping with headliner Marsha Ambrosius.

The event starts Oct. 31 and runs through Nov. 11. Some events are free while others require tickets.
